Columbus Tennis Club — Policies

CTC is Columbus’s first social tennis club. We host curated coaching + play events and sell select pro-shop items. These policies keep things smooth, fair, and safe.

1) Ordering, Payment & Taxes

  • All orders and event registrations are prepaid at checkout.

  • Sales tax is collected as required by law based on shipping address or pickup location.

2) Shipping (Pro Shop)

  • Flat-rate shipping: [flat rate] within the U.S. (calculated at checkout).

  • Processing time: Typically 1–3 business days (Mon–Fri, excluding holidays).

  • Carrier & tracking: You’ll receive tracking once your order ships.

  • Risk of loss / delivery: Once a carrier marks a package delivered, responsibility transfers to the customer. We’ll help file a carrier claim for lost/stolen packages, but replacements aren’t guaranteed.

3) Local Pickup (Free)

  • Pickup window: Mon–Fri, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Address: 1589 N High St, Columbus, OH 43201

  • Bring: Order # and a matching ID.

  • Pickup hold: We’ll hold orders 7 calendar days after the “Ready for Pickup” email. Uncollected orders may be restocked and refunded minus payment processing fees.

4) Stock, Backorders & Out-of-Stock

  • Occasionally an item may be backordered or out of stock at purchase.

  • We’ll contact you within 1–2 business days with options to wait, swap, partial refund for that item, or cancel that item.

5) Returns & Exchanges (Pro Shop)

  • Window: Returns accepted within 3 days of delivery (per carrier scan).

  • Condition: Items must be unused, in original packaging, with all tags attached.

  • Racquets: No returns after stringing (customized items are final sale).

  • Consumables / clearance: Opened consumables (e.g., nutrition, grips, balls) and marked final-sale items aren’t returnable unless defective on arrival.

  • Start a return: Email [infocolumbustennisclub@gmail.com] with your order # and photos (if applicable).

  • Return shipping: Customer-paid unless the item arrived damaged/incorrect, in which case we’ll provide a prepaid label.

  • Refund timing: After we receive/inspect, refunds go to the original method. Your bank may take 3–5 business days to post.

6) Damaged / Incorrect Items

  • Please inspect on delivery and email within 48 hours if something is damaged, defective, or incorrect. We’ll make it right.

7) Event Policies

Registration & Capacity

  • Event spots are limited and prepaid to confirm attendance.

Final Sale (No Refunds)

  • Because we coordinate coaches, venues, and logistics, all event sales are finalno refunds and no cancellations once booked.

  • If a transfer option is offered for a specific event, we’ll state it on that event’s page (otherwise no transfers).

Weather

  • Events are indoors; no weather-related cancellations unless explicitly stated by CTC.

  • If CTC postpones or cancels for any reason, you’ll receive a credit to rebook (no cash refunds).

Safety & Conduct

  • Play within your limits; report injuries or hazards to staff.

  • Zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or unsafe play. CTC may remove participants without refund for violations.

  • Alcohol (if served): 21+ with valid ID; consume responsibly.

  • Minors: Must be 16+ and accompanied by a parent/guardian unless otherwise stated.

Media & Content

  • We often capture photo/video. By attending, you grant CTC a royalty-free license to use your likeness for promotional content (web, social, email, ads).

  • Opt-out: Email [infocolumbustennisclub@gmail.com] at least 24 hours before the event and notify staff at check-in. We’ll do our best to accommodate, though incidental appearance may still occur.

8) Privacy & Communications

  • We collect basic info (name, email, phone, order history) to fulfill orders and run events.

  • Payments are processed by our provider (e.g., Square); CTC does not store full card numbers.

  • By providing your contact info, you consent to receiving transactional communications (order updates, event info). Marketing messages (email/SMS) are only sent with your explicit opt-in.

9) Warranties & Manufacturer Support

  • Products may carry a manufacturer warranty; we’ll help with proof of purchase.

  • Except as required by law or expressly stated by CTC, we disclaim implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted (this does not limit manufacturer warranties or your statutory rights).

10) Force Majeure

CTC isn’t liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, power outages, venue issues, labor disputes, epidemics, supply chain disruptions, or government action). If affected, we may delay, reschedule, or credit your order/event booking.

11) Liability, Assumption of Risk & Indemnity

  • Assumption of risk (events): Tennis involves inherent risks (slips, collisions, errant balls, equipment failure). You voluntarily assume these risks and agree to follow staff instructions.

  • Release: To the maximum extent permitted by Ohio law, you release and hold harmless CTC, its owners (including 25 Dials/Fluff Studio), staff, contractors, sponsors, and partner venues from claims arising from participation or use of our services/products, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

  • Limitation of liability: To the fullest extent allowed, CTC’s total liability for any claims related to your purchase or participation is limited to the amount you paid for the affected order/event. No indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages. Some states don’t allow certain limitations—if so, those limits apply only to the extent allowed.

  • Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and defend CTC against third-party claims arising from your breach of these policies or misuse of our services/products.

12) Dispute Resolution; Governing Law (U.S. / Ohio)

  • These policies are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

  • Venue: Courts of competent jurisdiction in Franklin County, Ohio (unless arbitration applies below).

  • Optional—Binding Arbitration & Class-Action Waiver (include only if you want this):

    • Any dispute related to purchases or events shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the rules of the AAA.

    • No class actions or class arbitration.

    • You may opt out within 30 days of your first purchase by emailing [infocolumbustennisclub@gmail.com].

13) Accessibility & Accommodations

Need an accommodation to participate or pick up an order? Email [infocolumbustennisclub@gmail.com] at least 72 hours in advance; we’ll do our best within venue constraints.

14) Changes to These Policies

We may update these policies occasionally. The version posted here is the current version. Material changes will include a new effective date above.
